Materials:

  • For AF1s, I use Angelus Leather Paints. Angelus Leather Acrylic Paint will not crack or peel when prepped and applied to your custom sneakers. They dry flat. Once completely dry, Angelus Black Leather Paint will be completely water proof. For more information about their specific products click their FAQ here.
  • I finish every sneaker with a final layer of Angelus Acrylic Finisher. This helps protect your customized sneaker’s paint from minor scratches/scrapes.
  • On fabric products (Converse/Custom Apparel) I use Tulip Fabric Paints. These paints are non-toxic, permanent, machine washable and they will not crack or peel. They have a latex-like, textured finish. If used in the dryer, I recommend using under low heat as fabric paint can stick to itself a bit when under high temperatures.

Care Instructions:

  • Converse – For best results, we recommend cleaning your Converse sneakers immediately after exposing them to dirt or stains. Before you begin, test the cleaning process on a hidden section of the sneaker, such as the outer edges of the tongue. This ensures that your cleaning solution will not affect the color or material. First, remove any excess dirt before cleaning the outsole. Once removed, use a damp cloth and a mix of lukewarm water with a mild soap to gently rub the sneaker in the affected areas. When you’re satisfied with the results, air dry your shoes at room temperature.
  • Nike AF1 – Leather shoes stain easily, so it’s important to clean them regularly. Apply mild cleaner to brush and begin to scrub dirty area. When done wipe off excess soap with a clean towel and repeat if more cleaning is needed. Don’t scrub the shoes too hard, or you could damage the leather/designs. Find the official Nike step-by-step cleaning guide here.
  • Custom Apparel – Follow the care guide for the specific garment. Fabric paint can be machine washed, it will not crack or peel. Use low heat if you throw the item in the dryer. Fabric paint can stick to itself a bit when under high temperatures. If this does happen, not to worry, just pull the pieces of material apart and the paint should be unharmed.
